STUDIO POLICY
2024 - 2025
Dear Students and Parents:
Effective for the 2024-2025 school year, I am raising rates by $5 from $30 per half hour lesson weekly to $35 per half hour lesson weekly. Lessons will no longer be paid per lesson each week. I am switching to a monthly flat rate tuition fee based on registration, not attendance.
New rates for each student are as follows:
Weekly Lessons:
(Recommended- Students learn faster and practice more with weekly lessons)
30 minute lesson weekly: $140 per month
60 minute lesson weekly: $280 per month
Bi-weekly Lessons:
30 minute lesson bi-weekly: $70 per month
60 minute lesson bi-weekly: $140 per month
*Tuition remains the same every month but may be subject to change in the future
*No discounts will be given as rates will be the same for each student. This creates fairness as each student receives equal time and instruction at their scheduled lesson.
*Piano Studio will be closed on holidays. No piano lessons on school holidays based on the Clay County School Board Student Calendar. Fees have been adjusted to account for these holidays and students will not be charged for them.
Monthly tuition fees will be due the first week of the month on the day of the student’s scheduled lesson. Venmo, Zelle, Cash or Check payment methods are preferred. If payments are not made by the 15th of the month, then there will be a $25 late fee. No exceptions.
Piano lessons are recommended weekly (same day and time each week) so that students have time to practice at home and make progress in their piano studies. 90% of improvement is daily practice at home for at least 30 minutes or more everyday. Please reserve your scheduled day and time for your weekly piano lesson and make it a priority. This is a scheduled appointment in my calendar and your time slot to hold your spot in my studio. Please respect my time set aside for your lesson. I will text you a reminder to confirm your piano lesson beforehand.
Please make piano a commitment and take it seriously. If a student misses their lesson, then they fall behind and probably won’t practice. If a lesson has to be missed, then please give at least 24 hour notice in advance to cancel and schedule a makeup lesson. If a student chooses not to makeup missed lessons, then monthly tuition fees are still due in full. Tuition reserves the student’s time slot in the studio and without payment, I cannot afford to hold spots. No makeup lessons will be given for skipped lessons with no prior notice and full payment is still expected. No refunds or credits for missed lessons with no advanced notice and no scheduled makeups unless the teacher cancels and does not makeup the missed lesson. No exceptions to this policy.
Piano lessons continue during the summer months. If a student wishes to stop piano lessons for the summer and resume lessons in the fall, then they will need to drop from the studio. This causes them to fall behind in their piano studies. Students will lose their spot in my schedule and will be put on a waiting list with no guarantee of availability in my schedule. Students can keep their scheduled time and day for piano lessons even if they don’t attend their piano lesson by continuing to pay for full monthly tuition as fees are based on enrollment, not attendance. Tuition reserves the student’s time slot in the studio and without payment, I cannot hold spots. No exceptions apply.
Please give advanced notice before a student wants to pause lessons for an extended period of time or quit (at least a month before). If no advanced notice is given, then monthly tuition fees are still due and are to be paid in full regardless of when the student quits. No exceptions.

Thank you to all of my students and their parents for supporting my piano studio and for allowing me to provide musical education for you and your children!
